Monday

Little girl heaven.

Last November tickets went on sale for Taylor Swift. We thought that we should get tickets to go and see her. We got tickets, hoped we picked good seats and then tried to keep a secret.

At the beginning of the year we really started seeing concert posters all around HK for the concert and the girls finally hinted that they really wanted to go to the concert. We finally told them in January that we already bought the tickets. I’m sure you could hear the screams in the US!

The logistics on the day of the concert was a bit crazy. Jonathan was actually in Aberdeen for an offsite meeting with the UBS and we were in TST for Hannah’s swim class. Everyone met at the Hong Kong Station and we jumped on the Airport Express … 25 minute train ride to the Asia world Expo – It’s awesome!

We got there, ate and took our seats. Were so thankful that we bought tickets for seats and didn’t get the standing tickets. What we weren’t so lucky with is that we got screamers two rows behind us. These little girls were NOT who-hoo screamers; I’m talking strait on full outdoor scream. After listening to that two times and having my ears drums blown I ended up giving the “stink eye” to them. The parents finally said, no to the screaming.

Taylor Swift did a great job. The girls were really excited and danced and sang through the whole concert. Seeing them happy really was worth it all!

Sunday

We were off to Sandy Bay again for Rugby. It was a beautiful day for a rugby tournament. The girls did not play because it was for girls 14 and up. The coach and the manager didn’t want the girls to play up because it really wouldn’t be safe for them.

The girls watched and cheered on their team. We were proud of them for understanding that the coach and manager wanted them to be safe.
